How Offshorly works
You always know who is doing the work.
Offshorly is a UK-led AI and software development company. Our teams work from the Philippines under UK leadership, to one set of playbooks, with a British account lead on every engagement. This page explains the system behind that: who trains our people, how a project or a dedicated team runs week to week, how quality is checked, and what you own at the end.
AI Excellence: the team that finds what works
Four people on a dedicated AI R&D team run constant experiments on models, tools and ways of delivering work. What they find becomes two things: the playbooks the whole company works to, and the training that spreads them, through Compass. The research never stops, so an improvement found this month reaches every team, including yours.
4 people
A dedicated AI R&D team whose only job is testing models, tools and ways of delivering work.
40–60% productivity gain
Measured in our own development team against how it worked before the playbooks. An internal figure, not a market statistic.
100% build with AI
Every developer here works to the playbooks, and every improvement the R&D team finds reaches every team.
Written down, tested, and shared with you
A playbook is a tested way of doing a piece of work, kept in writing rather than in one person’s head. Ours cover four things.
Which model does which work
Models are matched to each task on fit, speed, output quality, token use and cost, with open-source models used wherever they win.
Work set up for agents
Tasks are structured so agents can carry the volume and hand back summaries, diffs and verdicts for a named developer to judge.
Quality gates that run on their own
Automated checks catch mistakes before anything ships, so speed never costs you accuracy.
Designers and QA who build
The playbooks let our designers and QA engineers build directly, which keeps a human eye on products that AI would otherwise make look the same.
We share the playbooks with our clients. The approach transfers with them.
Compass: how every person here is trained
Compass is our own learning platform. We needed to train every graduate and every member of staff on the playbooks and on the best use of AI, so we built it ourselves, using AI, in a month. Every engineer, designer and QA engineer comes through Compass before they join a client team. Each person is assessed on the way through, and the curriculum changes whenever the R&D team finds something better, so nobody’s training stops at induction.
Compass is also the basis of our graduate programme. We recruit Computer Science graduates from universities in Metro Manila, the top 5 percent of their year, and they complete the full curriculum before taking a junior role. Our partner universities include the University of the Philippines, Far Eastern University, the University of Santo Tomas, Mapúa University and the Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
What working with us looks like, week to week
1.
A brief, then a call
We reply to your brief within one business day, then talk through what you want to build and how you like to work.
2.
A fixed price, or a fixed monthly rate
Projects are quoted as a fixed price, often after a short business analysis and a prototype at a fixed cost, so the quote rests on real requirements. Dedicated teams are a fixed monthly rate per team member.
3.
A project manager and a British account lead
Every engagement has a project manager who runs the sprints, and an account lead from our UK leadership team who you can call when something needs more than a standup.
4.
Two-week sprints, with a demo at the end of each
Each sprint ends with a demo of what was built and a look at what comes next. In between, you can see the repository, the project board and the daily standup for yourself.
5.
Handover, or a team that carries on
A project ends with the code, the documentation and the accounts in your hands. A dedicated team carries on month to month, growing or shrinking with the roadmap.
The working day in the Philippines overlaps with the UK, the US and Australia. We join your tools and channels rather than asking you to join ours.
Nothing reaches you unchecked
A second pair of eyes on every change
Every change is reviewed by another developer before it reaches you.
Security scanning as standard
Code is scanned with SonarQube and checked against our coding standards with context7 before release.
One named owner for every output
Tools and agents produce the volume. One named developer answers for what ships, and that rule is built into how every team works.
Yours from the first commit
What we build for you is yours from the first commit, and you hold the repository. Which data any AI tool may touch, and where it is processed, is your call.
We run Offshorly on tools built this way
Before we offered this system to clients, we used it on ourselves. Three products came out of it, all built on the same playbooks.
A
Atlas
Our internal platform, built with the playbooks in three months. It runs pipeline, delivery, finance and people from one live view, and agents act on what it finds.
B
Blueprint
Reads a brief and its documents, raises the gaps and risks as interview questions, and produces the instructions for a working proof of concept in days.
C
Compass
The training platform above, built in a month, now the basis of how every person here is trained.
Our own agent harness, which we also develop, handles a large share of our routine operations, so our people spend their time on judgement and client work.
The same system, four ways to use it

Questions people ask about how we work
-
How does Offshorly deliver work?1
Offshorly delivers through dedicated teams and fixed-price projects, run from the Philippines under UK leadership. Every engagement has a project manager, a British account lead, two-week sprints with demos, and full access to the repository and the project board.
-
What is Offshorly’s AI Excellence team?2
A four-person R&D team that tests models, tools and ways of working, and keeps the playbooks every Offshorly team uses up to date.
-
What is Compass?3
Offshorly’s own training platform, built with AI in a month. Every engineer, designer and QA engineer completes it, and it is the basis of our graduate programme.
-
Can we see the code while it is being built?4
Yes. You have the repository and the project board from the start, and you can join the daily standup.
-
Which AI models and tools do you use?5
Whichever fit the task. The playbooks match models to each piece of work on fit, speed, output quality, token use and cost, and include open-source models where they win. Code is scanned with SonarQube and checked against our standards with context7.
-
Do you share the playbooks with clients?6
Yes. Clients work from the same playbooks we do, and the approach transfers with them.
