The Client

A UK business energy services company

The end client is a UK-based energy services business helping companies of every size take control of their energy costs. They go beyond brokering contracts, offering invoice validation, sustainability advice, and a partnership-led approach to energy management. Their existing website needed to reflect that positioning and give the marketing team something they could actually manage day to day. The agency responsible for their account needed a development partner who could handle the technical build and stay invisible to the client.

Offshorly was brought in as the white-label delivery team, responsible for all development and QA, handing off a production-ready site to the agency for final deployment.

The Situation

A rebuild the agency couldn’t do in-house.

The agency had won the work but didn’t have the development resource to execute it. They needed a partner who could take a signed-off design and deliver a fully functional WordPress site, on schedule, within budget, and without requiring the agency to manage day-to-day technical decisions.

The brief was detailed. The new site had to be editable by non-technical staff, load fast, meet accessibility standards, and support the client’s content and lead capture needs from day one.

1

Full WordPress rebuild using the Gutenberg editor, based on signed-off designs

3

CMS configured for non-technical editors, with reusable blocks, page templates, and site-wide settings

2

WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility compliance and performance optimisation built in from the start

4

GA4 integration, cookie consent, and contact forms with redirect handling

5

ACF Pro, role-based user permissions, and a full plugin configuration layer

WHAT WE DELIVERED

A properly built WordPress site, ready to hand over.

We built the site from scratch against the signed-off designs, working in clear phases with defined milestones. The dev and QA phase covered all core pages, home, services, sectors, healthcare, case studies, and contact, alongside responsiveness, plugin configuration, and deployment to a staging environment for handover.

Everything was built to be managed without developer input. The Gutenberg editor gives the client’s team full page-editing control. ACF Pro powers structured field types across content templates. Reusable blocks mean the content team can work independently across the site.

1

Home page, services, sectors, case study templates, healthcare page, and contact

3

Page speed optimisation via WP Rocket and Lighthouse benchmarking

5

Google Maps integration and Contact Form 7 with thank-you page redirects

7

Staging deployment and handover to agency for production release

2

Responsive across mobile, tablet, and desktop

4

SEO fields per page, redirect handling, and 404 management

6

Subdomain-based white-labelling for reseller deployments

8

CookieBot consent, cross-browser compatibility, and granular user roles

how it ran

Clear phases. No surprises.

The project ran across three structured phases, with milestones aligned to client review points. Every dependency, designs, assets, credentials, staging access, was tracked from day one and resolved early, which kept the schedule intact.

18 Aug – 26 Sept

Phase 1: Development & QA

All pages built and QA tested. Local setup, global styling, page templates, plugin configuration, responsiveness, staging deployment, and content population completed in sequence.

Milestone 3: QA + Bug Fixes Done
20 Oct – 24 Oct

Phase 2: UAT + Fixes

Client user acceptance testing with Offshorly fixes completed within the agreed window. No rescheduling required.

Milestone 4: UAT + Polishing Done
27 Oct

Phase 3: Go Live

Production deployment handled by the agency. Site launched on schedule.

Milestone 5: Go Live
The OUTCOME

Delivered on schedule. Agency relationship protected.

On time

all phases completed within the agreed project window

Every milestone landed on schedule. All dependencies were resolved before they could block progress. The agency handed off a clean, production-ready site to their client, and their client relationship stayed intact.

The site was built to be owned by its users, not maintained by developers. Non-technical staff can edit pages, update content, and manage the site independently. That was the brief, and that’s what was delivered.

The Signal

The agency brought Offshorly in because they needed technical delivery they could trust. The project ran clean and the site launched on time. Offshorly handled the build. The agency handled the relationship. That’s how it should work.
