Overview
Moribian is an AI recruitment platform that automates hiring workflows. Designed for Specialized Group, it streamlines job specification, CV analysis, candidate matching, and job distribution, making recruitment efficient and AI-assisted for the Japanese market.
Specialized Group wanted to integrate AI into their recruitment workflow but needed a low-risk way to validate whether their ideas were technically feasible.
The challenge was not just automation, but ensuring that AI-generated outputs—such as job descriptions and candidate analysis—were accurate, consistent, and trustworthy enough for real commercial use.
The project began without a defined product structure, requiring close collaboration to shape both the solution and its capabilities over time. The goal was to create a system that could handle the complexity of recruitment in Japan, including language nuances, cultural expectations, and compliance requirements, while significantly reducing manual workload for recruiters.
We began by supporting rapid proof-of-concept (POC) explorations, translating early ideas into tangible flows that could be tested and refined alongside the client and development team.
Through weekly working sessions, we continuously evolved the product—adapting to shifting requirements while ensuring each feature aligned with real recruiter workflows.
As the platform matured, we designed structured, end-to-end experiences around key tasks such as job spec creation, CV analysis, and multi-channel job posting. Each flow focused on delivering clear, quality-assured outputs rather than exposing raw AI complexity, helping build trust and usability from the outset.
The product initially started without a defined identity, and as it evolved into a standalone SaaS platform, we translated its functionality into a cohesive interface aligned with the Moribian brand. The final design reflects a balance between powerful AI capabilities and practical, day-to-day usability—grounded in how recruitment work actually happens.
